On the 26th of March, a short three days before the publication of this article, I was laid off from Foxtel1. My role was made redundant as the organisation restrucutres following Foxtel being acquired by DAZN about one year ago. This website is currently not ready for publication - or at least, it doesn’t meet my extremely high standards for what I’d classify as ready to be released. However, as I’m currently seeking employment and this site is on my resume, and still demonstrates my skills to some degree, I’ve elected to release it in this state while I continue to work on it.
What this means in practice is that there are a number of broken links on the site - particularly with regards to the portfolio page, as I haven’t gotten a couple of those projects into a state where its easy for a user to interact with them (some are desktop applications that haven’t been tested to work across various hardware and platforms, some are websites such as Anemoi that need the data to be redacted/randomly generated before they’re published).
- I’m still working there until the 21st of April, but after that I’ll be gone↩
